About Richard Woodward

Richard has developed a dedicated system of learning which is not available in any one book

As a professional musician who has performed as far afield as Canada, Middle East and the U.S.A. in bands and appearing as a solo performer, Richard now teaches students of all ages and ability, from children with their first guitar through to the advanced player who is looking to further develop their skills from his studio in Nottingham.

Richard has experience of teaching music in Higher Education, and can make the music national curriculum come to life. He can offer support with your day-to-day music education, or help you prepare for GCSE or A-Level exams, theory, performance and coursework.

He structures his lessons to fit every individual for optimum learning. This is because he understands that every person responds to learning in a different manner and tapping into the method that’s most applicable to students creates maximum learning for every session.

His aim is to get you where you want to go as a guitar player, encouraging the passion that keeps all his students enthusiastically looking forward to their next lesson.

He specialises in teaching all aspects of contemporary guitar: Electric and Acoustic Rock, Blues and Fingerstyle Guitar. Learn to play like guitar musical legends such as: Hendrix, Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Gary Moore, Keith Richards and more...

Richard finds it extremely rewarding to share the knowledge and experience he has accrued over the years.
